YouTube Subscribers Pass 4,000!

My YouTube Channel passed 4,000 subscribers (4,264) in the last couple days.
So I wanted to say a big thank you to my friends and supporters that have watched my videos (just scroll down for my latest two videos).

Anyone who has a Youtube channels knows this is not easy, the competition is worldwide and trying to get you video seen is an ongoing challenge.

Q and A
And to celebrate I will be doing a Q and A session. So if you have any questions about my culinary career? Or perhaps the famous people I have cooked for and met, like Queen Elizabeth II or movie star Paul Newman,  then now is your chance to ask. Some of these stories can be found on my Media Wall.

Perhaps you’d like me do a Q and A on cooking questions? Please either post your questions here or email me at chefkevin1@hotmail.com

Developing the Channel
As my Youtube channel has developed I have tried to intergrate it with my blogs and cooking lessons. I also have been experimenting with collaborations with other Youtube creators to see if that can boost my subscribers.

My two latest videos are Indonesian recipes I have created and I will post them below.
The first is my recipe for Indonesian Sweet Soy Sauce which is called Kecap Manis, which is so easy to make and better tasting than most of the store bought versions that tend to be just soy sauce and sugar. Looking at what is available both online and in my local supermarkets led me to decide to make my Kecap Manis gluten free so everyone can use it.

The second video is a Chicken and Shrimp Nasi Goreng and it’s the recipe I did as part of an International Cooking Collaboration under the hashtag #IndonesianFood.

Nasi Goreng is Indonesain fried rice and iit can have beef or chicken or seafood in it but it always needs to have Kecap Manis in it, to give it its unique flavour and of course topped with a fried egg!

  1. Well done Chef! I don’t have a YouTube channel but I’ve been thinking about it. My question is, what made you want to start a YouTube channel?

    1. Thanks William,
I got into making videos when I began givng cooking online lessons during Covid and it just continued. It is a labour of love but I could not do it without my lovely wife, who is also my cameraman and editor.
      Best Wishes
      Kevin 🙂

      1. You’re welcome, Kevin. We’ve been blogging friends for quite a long time now and I’m really happy to see your success. I’m not brave enough to stand in front of the camera like you, nor skilled enough to teach people how to cook the way you do. I truly admire you and I’ve been trying to learn more; especially from kind and talented people like you. I’ll always support you and celebrate your success.
I feel happy and honored that you also take the time to watch my videos. Thank you so much, Kevin! Best wishes from Münster 🤗 Hang
