Growing a Youtube channel is a full of ups and downs, the competition just to get seen is fierce and each year I have feelings of elation and frustration in equal measure.
Through it all , the number of subscribers continues to grow, in fits and starts….but never the less it is growing – since August 2025 I have added 3,000 more subscribers which is wonderful.
Some creators publish 30 or more videos a month, but me, I publish 1 full length video plus 1-2 shorts.
When I’m not filming videos for my YouTube channel I am streaming my live online cooking classes. For this I create my own recipes and demonstrate them in class. The classes are recorded and students are given access to them to use as a cook along tool. The students all belong to my WhatsApp group where I post recipes and still photos of the dishes. The students are encouraged to have a go at the recipes and post photos if they wish.
And then I have a number of blogs besides this one to create content for.

I also have to spend time sharing my content via my social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, BlueSky, Threads, etc), or people wouldn’t find my content in the vast ocean of the internet. Not that I’m complaining, I enjoy being creative and sharing with others.
